In My Opinion

  WHERE'S THE QUALITY?

I wish someone would tell me what ever happened to pride in workmanship and quality of product.

My husband and I purchased a refrigerator.

After they struggled to get it in the doors and hooked it up to the water line for the ice maker, we dicovered that the toe plate at the bottom would not stay on.

My husband went back where we purchased it and looked at the ones on the floor. two service people tried to put the toe plate on three of the refregerators that were on the floor and none of them would stay on.

The manager there said we have had two of these come back this week alone.  so he said he would report it to the company and that we should report it also.  I called the company and they scheduled for a service person to come out and look at the refregerator.

When he came he said "I have had several of these and have only been able to fix one. The rest have to be replaced with a new refregerator. needless to say ours was one that needed to be replaced.

I'm not just picking on appliance companies here, it seems as though every thing is getting that way.

Take yarn for instance, you pull out the thread from the center and you get half the skein that is in a knot in the middle coming out.  Also they have downsized the amount in a skein and raised the price, so now instead of getting a full 4 ounces in a skein you need to buy two.

Even the shortening that you cook with has water added to it  to increase the weight.  When you try to fry with it it not only pop all over , the food just lays there and boils.

It seems that everything is just put together long enought to get it into the hands of the comsumer. Never mind that a refregerator only lasts 7 years anymore, or that a water heater only three. I realize that the goal of the companies is to sell more merchandise but if the product isn't any good to start with how do they expect to sell more.

WHERE IS THE QUALITY CONTROLL INSPECTOR IN THE FACTORIES?

Or have they eliminated his job also.

In My Opinion!!
