My Books

The night has fallen and I'm content

To know the satisfaction of a day well spent

I've spanned the ages with the books I've read

I've loved, I've hated and I've been dead.

I've cruised the mighty ocean wide

And sat with Jesus by my side

I've studied gothic art in Rome

And been inside Sir Winston's home.

Now I'm back home again

In my little nook

Never having left but

Through the pages of my book .
