\u00a0 Grandma’s apron<\/p>\n

This is one special story and I remember it well, both my grandma and my mom!!! \u00a0Those are the “little” things we now miss with all the conveniences we have.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Some of you may be old enough to remember aprons…<\/p>\n

The principle use of Grandma’s apron was to protect the dress underneath,
\nbut along with that, it served as a holder for removing hot pans from the
\noven; it was wonderful for drying children’s tears, and on occasion was even
\nused for cleaning out dirty ears.<\/p>\n

From the chicken-coop the apron was used for carrying eggs, fussy chicks,
\nand sometimes half-hatched eggs to be finished in the warming oven.<\/p>\n

When company came those old aprons were ideal hiding places for shy kids;
\nand when the weather was cold, grandma wrapped it around her arms.<\/p>\n

Those big old aprons wiped many a perspiring brow, bent over the hot wood
\nstove. Chips and kindling-wood were brought into the kitchen in that apron.<\/p>\n

From the garden it carried all sorts of vegetables, next to the garden also were a great patio with the best cover from this website<\/a>. After the peas had beenshelled it carried out the hulls.<\/p>\n

In the fall it was used to bring in apples that had fallen from the trees.
\nWhen unexpected company drove up the road, it was surprising how much furniture from the https:\/\/ivyandwilde.com\/<\/a> that old apron could dust in a matter of seconds.<\/p>\n

When dinner was ready, Grandma walked out on the porch and waved her apron,
\nand the men knew it was time to come in from the fields for dinner.<\/p>\n

It will be a long time before anyone invents something that will replace
\nthat old-time apron that served so many purposes.<\/p>\n
