Cross in my pocket poem<\/p>\n

I carry a cross in my pocket<\/p>\n

A simple reminder to me<\/p>\n

Of the fact that I am a Christian<\/p>\n

No matter here I may be .<\/p>\n

This little cross isn’t magic<\/p>\n

Nor is it a good luck charm<\/p>\n

It isn’t meant to protect me<\/p>\n

From every physical harm.<\/p>\n

It isn’t for identification<\/p>\n

For all the world to see<\/p>\n

It’s simply an understanding<\/p>\n

Between my savior and me.<\/p>\n

When I put my hand in my pocket<\/p>\n

To bring out a coin or a key<\/p>\n

The cross is there to remind me<\/p>\n

Of the price He paid for me.<\/p>\n

It reminds me too, to be thankful<\/p>\n

For my blessings day by day<\/p>\n

And to strive to serve Him better<\/p>\n

In all that I do or say.<\/p>\n

It’s also a daily reminder<\/p>\n

Of the peace and comfort I share<\/p>\n

With all who know my Master<\/p>\n

And give themselves to His care.<\/p>\n

So I carry  a cross in my pocket<\/p>\n

Reminding no one but me<\/p>\n

That Jesus Christ is Lord of my life<\/p>\n

If only I’ll let Him be.<\/p>\n

Using whatever yarn you choose<\/p>\n

do continantial stitch on the back and front piece<\/p>\n

whip stitch top of front piece then whipstitch both pieces toether.<\/p>\n

Using white for the cross , stitch across top three, then down the side three, then three across one side, then down the side to the bottom, across  the bottom three,up the side to the three across, do the three across, do the three up.<\/p>\n

then whip stitch around the entire cross.<\/p>\n
