Perfect Pie Crust



1 cup flour


1/3 cup shortening


dash of salt


3 1/2 tablespoons cold water


Combine flour and shortening and salt work with pastry blinder or fingers until mixture looks like course corn meal. Add the cold water and stir with a fork until mixture forms a ball. Roll out on floured board and place in pie pan crimp by putting your thumb and index finger together on one hand and pushing the dough into the “V” with the other. this is for a 1 crust pie. For a two crust pie use: 1 1/3 cup flour 1/2 cup shortening dash salt 5 tablespoons water follow same process above.
