St Paul’s rice (or sausage and rice casserole)

1 lb. Bird Farm sausage 

2/3 cup regular rice

4 1/2 cups water

2 pkgs Lipton Chicken Noodle soup

1 large diced onion

1 cup diced celery

1 green pepper diced

Brown sausage in skillet and crumble.

In a large skillet cook onion, pepper, celery

add 2/3 cup rice and 4 1/2 cups water and the two packages of dry noodle soup let boil 7 minutes

Stir in sausage and pour in casserole.

Top with slivered almonds and bake 2 hours at *250

*Note if you don’t like almonds just leave them off and cover the casserole with a lid and bake.
